Dr. Faith Teel

Dr. Faith Teel is the newest faculty member of the Graduate Counseling and Psychology Department, coming to UMHB in the fall of 2008.She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at East Texas State University where she double majored in Counseling and Psychology.  Her Master’s Degree is also from East Texas State University with a major in Clinical Counseling and a minor in Psychology.  Her Ph.D. is from Texas A&M University - Commerce where she majored in Counselor Education and minored in Secondary and Higher Education.  Dr. Teel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 25 years experience in the field.  She is also an approved LPC Supervisor.  She is actively involved in the community and schools in the local area.  Dr. Teel is a long-time member of the American Counseling Association, the Texas Counseling Association and numerous divisions of both.  She currently chairs the Faculty Recruitment and Retention committee of SACES. She has a long history of working in Advocacy for the counseling profession and for School Counselors in particular.
