Doctor of Nursing Practice

The Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at UMHB is designed to educate post-master’s degreed nurses for professional careers in nursing. The DNP program instills an increased breadth and depth of content with courses in leadership, health policy, and the economics of healthcare practice management. The program's small cohort format delivery promotes collaborative learning in a variety of educational and clinical settings. The DNP program facilitates the preparation of nurses who will be equipped to assume leadership positions in advanced practice and healthcare administration.

This hybrid program provides on campus, classroom learning one Friday and Saturday a month; the remainder of the coursework is completed online. The Scott and White College of Nursing is located in the Isabelle Rutherford Meyer Nursing Education Center, which provides state-of-the-art settings for expanding your skill set in an advanced field of study.
