Application Packet

The Application Packet for UMHB’s LEAD Program includes the following:

  1. Graduate Application
    http://www.umhb.edu/prospective/admissions/graduate_admissions.html
  2. Scores from GRE or equivalent exam, within last five years (required)
    Target score 1025 or greater, recommended (not required)
  3. Official copies of college transcripts
  4. Resume (include, but not limited to the following)
    1. Professional Background
    2. Education/Academic Background
    3. Certifications & Endorsements
    4. Professional Development & Specialized Training
    5. Community service
    6. References (5 from current and previous employers, colleagues, etc.)
  5. Three Letters of Recommendation – Professional and/or Personal
  6. Service Record or Verification of Employment
  7. Employer letter of support
  8. Photograph (optional)

Timeline

  • Formal promotion/recruitment occurs October to January
  • Public information meetings held in October and November
  • Early application is encouraged
  • Deadline for completed Application Packet is February 1 (postmarked)
  • Candidate interviews held during December, February and March
  • Cohort members announced March 31
  • Cohort orientation held in May
  • Cohorts begin each summer
