Spring Commencement

Belton, Texas -The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor held their spring Commencement on Saturday, May 3 at the Bell County Expo Center. This was the university's 152nd graduating class. Three-hundred and nine students were awarded degrees. Of these, 285 received baccalaureate degrees, and 24 students received master's degrees.

Several awards were given during the ceremony. The awards included the Alpha Chi Award for highest overall GPA (4.0) which went to Austin Thomas Fischer of Belton, Christina Joy Hammond of Houston, Chelsea Faye Marie Schilling of Temple and Christa Jeanelle Wright of Georgetown. The Loyalty Cup for the student who is most representative of the ideals, tradition and spirit of the university went to Kyle Tubbs of Garland. The President's Award for meritorious service went to Erica Valenta of San Antonio.
